Description
I handcrafted these stunning silver flower and leave earrings from sterling silver sheet and wire, inspired by the delicate beauty of floral leaves. The design is intentionally organic and asymmetric, with each earring complementing the other while maintaining a harmonious balance.
I textured the flowers with a hammer to create a natural, organic finish. I then shaped them into a curved dish form using a doming block. Each hammer strike is unique, ensuring that no two earrings are exactly alike, even if they appear similar. I adorned the centre of each flower with a delicate bead for a touch of elegance.
I carefully cut, filed, and finished the leaves, then hammered them to add texture and subtle sparkle to the piece. To complete the design, I added a piece of wire with granulation to resemble growing flower buds. I hung these on the back of the earring hook and secured them in place with the flower on the front. This careful assembly allows each piece to move when worn, adding another beautiful aspect to the earrings.
